I missed that charge! It's extortionate! How on earth do they justify that? I'm getting quite cross now! It seems that you can only really trace your family if you have enough money to do it. That's at odds with the Scottish Government's official approach isn't it I feel a letter to my MSP coming on...

Oh. I see it's only open Monday to Friday, and closes at 4, effectively disenfranchising those of us contributing to the economy, and presumably the administration of GROS through our taxes. But I see that's always been the case. Hmmm. I will have to take it up with my MP and wait until my next holi...

Up till now I've been too scared to go there because I know it will be full of people who actually know what they are doing, but my embarrassment about all those £6 on my credit card...

I've discovered that Turkey was neutral until near the end of the war, so the school theory seems most likely. Looks like he's a Lost Boy then

He would be the same age as my Dad now.

Joette: I think in Istanbul/Constantinople, the Brits were pretty used to uprisings, violence and "religious" and political toing and froing. At least that's the impression I get from reading reports and letters from different times there. Mine were involved in commerce, tobacco and salt, and in mon...
