Divorce records
How can I check if someone divorced ,the person I am checking was married in 1919 and left her husband after six weeks and as far as I can see she called herself by her maiden name as soon as she left her husband.

Re: Divorce records
Hi Cathy,
Up to 1984, a divorce should be shown as an RCE on the Marriage Certificate. It should be stamped, normally in the left margin, with RCE or Register of Corrected Entries. There should be a link from the Marriage Certificate page to take you to the RCE document. Since the new company has been operating ScotlandsPeople, the RCEs have become free of charge (was charged at 2 credits with the previous provider).
Since 1984, it has been a register in its own right, and the index for that is available on ScotlandsPeople. The pages from that register are all too new to be shown online.
All the best,
AndrewP

You could try checking the index at NRS.
