79 of Scotland's bloodiest clan battles

Post by AndrewP » Tue Jul 11, 2017 9:19 pm

Amongst Lochcarron's website advertising their brand of Scottish clothing, is their blog. I found an interesting read there, titled "79 of Scotland's bloodiest clan battles", which tells of clan wars that took place across Scotland from the 12th to the 18th century. At the end of that blog, you find a link to in interactive map leading to information about each of these battles. There is a filter on that map that allows you to filter the battle by the clan name.

Looks like my lot weren't war-mongers of the day. No sign of the Maclarens (of which Paterson is a sept) on this map.

All the best,

AndrewP
