A very interesting set of photographs in their gallery. I thought I was well travelled around Scotland, but there are so many of these places I have never been to.

All the best,

First time visitors to Scotland invariably make the mistake of thinking - small country, not much to see. Even many born and bred Scots have never seen it all. Scotland is very understated - maybe sites like the one I quoted can give it a boost?

I guess I feel kind of lucky that in 3 visits to Scotland I've got to see some of these places - some are truly amazing...

Wallace Monument
Scott Monument
Walter Scott's House
Tay Bridge
Firth of Forth Bridges
Iona Abbey
Melrose Abbey (and not listed Culross Abbey where I have ancestors buried)

Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

And there's plenty yet to see for visit #4, right?

Yes there sure is. Maybe 2010 for the Clan Moffat Society AGM in Moffat, Scotland :)

That's something to look forward to I'd say. Nice area too. Many moons ago I had a 3 week stay at the Moffat House Hotel.
