I have this family in the 1911 Scottish Census
1911 Census of Scotland
Glasgow
22 Alexander Row
Joseph Kearney head 32 mar labourer blast furnace born Ireland
Catherine do wife 33 Mar 11yrs, 9 children, 4 living born Ireland
James do son 9 school born Ireland
Joseph do son 6 school born Ireland
Patrick do son 4 born Ireland
Elizabeth do dau 1 born Lanark Glasgow
From where the children were born it seems likely that they were living in Ireland in 1901, but I cannot find them in the census, nor a marriage, which would be c. 1900. It is possible they were living in Scotland with the mother going home to have her children but I can't find any records in Scotland either.
I believe, from family knowledge that they came from Armagh - but no verification. On that basis - is this site worth paying to use

I know nothing about it - other than they say they have lots of records about my family - which lots of other online sites say as well.

Have you checked the little girl's birth?
that should say where and when the parents were married [though depending on how wet the babbie's head was, the date could be slightly off]
Worth looking for any new born deaths in Glasgow between Patrick & Elizabeth too [there are a few Gorbals/Hutchisontown ones]

I think this may be your couple. They married in Monaghan on 16.12 1901. Joseph Kearney to Catherine Martin. Both had addresses in Glasgow. He was a soldier and she a servant. So they probably just came home to Ireland to marry. So that’s probably why you can’t find them, in the Irish census. Try the Scottish one.

Here’s their son’s Joseph’s birth in Chapel Lane Armagh:

The marriage cert gives the fathers name and you can probably use that to find the respective families in the 1901 census.

This Irish site has images of certificates, and it is free
https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/
From the tab at the top select Civil Records
I had a quick check and there is a birth in Armagh of a Patrick Kearney in 1906 to Joseph Kearney and Catherine Martin
I was going to add Joseph birth, but see Elwyn 1 beat me to it

Thanks so much everyone. I had looked in the Scotland Census as well & I thought I had looked in the Irishgenealogy site - obviously not very well
The help is much appreciated.
They must have travelled back/forward to Ireland over the years. I'll check the births/deaths on SP - I didn't realise certificates that early gave the date of marriage
