Hi Janice
I'd take a notebook (or blank BMD forms- you can run one up in Excel or Word) and several pencils (and a sharpener in yer pocket!) .
Jot down all you can and save your 50ps for the important stuff that it would be really good to have a copy of!
Best wishes
Lesley

When I get to Park Circus, and find some additional info, can I save the documents to my memory stick, or is it possible to print off a copy and take it away?
Agree with Andrew, afraid you not be able to save to memory stick. If it is a BMD certificate or census you will be able to get a photocopy of it at 50 pence a copy, there will be slips of paper for you to fill in if a BMD certificate then you will put the GROS number and type of certificate, the name of the person also your station letter (on the pc) you will have to hand them over before 3.00pm for them to be printed out. Best to do this as you go along and not hand over a load at 3.00.

The 50p copy facility is only available for births up to 1904, marriages to 1929, and deaths to 1954 (same closure periods as on SP). After those dates it's by hand or buy an "extract" at £8 !! See www.familysearch.org for free forms that you can download. Best to use such a form as then you have to fill in all the boxes...........

Only the census form at http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/ ... veTab=Type would help you .........

It's a while since I checked what was there, - I'm sure that there used to be generic British blanks ......... no worry, - email me and I'll let you have some........

Thank you David - Gawd help me, I can't even find a form, never mind my ancestors

I've downloaded a couple of forms. I'm trying to get organised for Tuesday's visit to Park Circus, and now my printer has died :? , so I'm off to our local library in the hope I can print off there what I need.

All saved to my trusty memory stick - if I lose that I've had it
