Hi
Does anyone have any information you can share with me about John Brown and particularly 3 of his brothers who also served the Queen
I have birth dates of Archibald Anderson and Hugh but does anyone know what happened to Harold Brown? Or any other information - Thanks. Lyn

A bit about Brown in Wikipedia.

His gravestone is in Crathie kirkyard. There’s a now abandoned cottage on the hills south of Balmoral, called The Genechal , which I have visited, where some locals say Queen Victoria and Brown used to stay when up on the moors. Who knows?

Archie and Hugh are fairly straightforward to follow on census records but I cannot find a Harold with the family at any point. Are you sure John had a brother Harold?Secret wrote:Hi
