George is a bit of a mystery man and I am looking for any intimation of his death. He may have lived at 1138 Hornby Street, Vancouver and was said to be married to a lady called Angie Colina Langwill (1877-1946) who I know a lot about. Details are sketchy but he was supposed to be dead by 1921 and possibly in the period 1910-1921.
George and Angie (not Angelina) were supposed to be married but I have failed to find any record of it. It may have been in the same period of 1910 -1921 and possibly in another part of Canada.

Re: Death of George Colwyn in Vancouver, British Columbia
Hello ChipChip,
I'm intrigued by this guy !! I took a look around and he does seem to be very elusive.
Have you checked the Henderson City Directories for Vancouver for the 19 - teens ?
https://open.library.ubc.ca/collections ... /1.0357397
It appears that Angie had returned to Scotland late spring 1913, and returned to Canada in March 1914 (with a
possible side trip / visit) to the United States. According to the 1919 Directory there is an "Annie Colwyn" renting at
1138 Hornby. Possibly this may narrow down the marriage to 1914 to 1919. She is a widow at the same address
in 1921.
Cheers,
Heather

Does the name Henry Warren Givens mean anything to you ?
Address listed on Angie's death certificate has the signature H.W. Givens. 6245 Marguerite Street, Vancouver
Relationship to deceased is Cousin.
Cheers,
Heather

Re: Death of George Colwyn in Vancouver, British Columbia
Heather,
Many thanks for taking the trouble to respond. You seem to have hit the same roadblock as me and many others online. There are several trees with her Scottish family but they are all error prone.
Angie Colina Colwyn nee Langwill was of Scottish extraction but was born in Ireland and died in Vancouver, Canada. I know virtually all about her apart from her apparent marriage to a George Colwyn. Her last visit to Scotland from Canada was in 1921. She was a Widow and known as Angie Colwyn or Colwin. She was not married in the 1910 Canadian census. You would imagine that names like Colwyn and Langwill are not that common and would be easy to research. No such luck.
I also know about the background of her cousin Henry Givens who was the informant to her death but it has not helped in solving the puzzle. He died in 1947 a year after Angie.
I was not aware of the Henderson City Directory you mentioned and have had a quick look. My initial reaction is that it is not easy to research but I will give it another go.
Th quest continues.
