Death in Canada

Hoping some of you lovely people can advise. I am trying to find a death for my late grandmother’s sister who emigrated to Canada. She was called Cecilia Scanlan,and was born in Partick in June 1895. She married her husband Thomas Geoghan/Geaghan in 1916. She emigrated to Canada in 1923 to join her husband who had gone ahead. I was told she had a tearoom there. She sailed into Quebec, but I believe lived in Toronto. I have no idea when she died but I met her as a child when she came over to visit Scotland. I think that would have been around 1964 - 65 or so. I have searched Ancestry several times over but cant get a death/obituary for either her or her husband. Can anyone advise please?

"Selective Tea Rooms" 841 Bay Street Toronto.
Cecilia operated the Tea Rooms from C1946 to at least 1950.

Heather, thank you so much for this response. Can you possibly share the obituaries for Cecilia and Thomas? It is Cecilia’s date of death I am particularly interested in as she is the only one of my grandmothe’s siblings I dont have a death date for. I would like to know about Thomas too though

Thomas passed away 31 August 1971, Toronto.
Cecilia followed him 22 September 1977, Toronto.
