Hi Mrsl and a cordial welcome to [talkingscot]

I checked, and Ian has not visited TalkingScot since 2007 but if he still has the same e-mail address he will receive a notification. We never consider a post closed. All it takes is a Google search entry that picks up even one of our posts to establish links. You could try the PM button (personal message) on any of Ian's entries to exchange e-mail addresses to swap images but use the open forum for names and relevant data since that increases the chances of other Googlers to track down names and family links.
We love family stories here especially when there is a hint of mystery. Just imagine what travel to London was like in the mid 1700's

Thank you Russell,
That is appreciated.
It is an 'established historical fact' that the eldest brother William in this family (ie brother to my Robert and Ian's Mungo) WALKED from Ayrshire to Birmingham to get a job. No carriage or horseback for him.
They made em tough in those days.
