Miller family in Glasgow
Can anyone help? I am looking for information about William Miller and Agness Leitch married on 4th November 1862 in Hutchesontown, Glasgow. The 1881 Census has them living at 161 Kent Road, Barony, Kelvin, Lanarkshire together with 2 children, William and Alice. 1891 has William Snr living as a lodger at North Woodside Road, but still married, and in 1901 he is a widower living at 16 Garscube Lane, Glasgow. William died in 1902. I have been unable to trace what happened to Agness or their children. There seems to have been another child, John, born in 1866. Any suggestions?

Hi Firefly1048,
According to the online IGI there were three children to this couple: William (1863 Dumfries), Alice (1864 Glasgow) and John (1866 Glasgow). As these births are extracted from the statutory records, then the birth certificates should be available on http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk on a pay per view basis.
Any sign of any marriages for the children?
All the best,
AndrewP

Hi Firefly,
There is a death for someone matching her name and age with daughter Alice as witness on Certificate.
They were in Edinburgh.
I will PM you with the details.
Hope she is yours.
