Thanks, Sarah. Some days I'm lucky enough to remember my Mother's name, never mind my Great Grandmother's. Are names and dates relevant in Genealogy?

I'm trying to get info on Margaret Grierson born 1796. Some people on Ancestry have her parents as the Griersons of Lag/Rockhall. However, they were nobility and I'm pretty sure this is not the same Margaret Grierson. From what I can find out on the internet this Margaret Grierson of Lag died when she was 16. It would be nice if I was descended from this family but not to be. I would like to find out who her parents were
