Hi Anne, in the 1901 Census my grandfather,Thomas Waters/Watters, 30 years Old,was living in Albert St, Govan. He had a lodger, Patrick Watters also 30. I presume they were cousins but the census only gave their place of birth as Ireland so I still dont know where Thomas came from. Have you any info that would help? Thank you Tom Waters

I don't know if this is any help to you but my Helen Kelly (born about 1823) Londonderry, came over from Ireland with her husband Allan (born about 1814) Londonderry, Ireland, after 14th Spetember 1860 when thier eldest daughter was born round about 1842 namely Matilda. Her son Thomas was married on the 15th September 1866 in Anderston in Glasgow and from there on in the family resided in the Greenock area of Scotland.

If this is of any use to you I would be grateful for a reply as this is a connection of mine

Regards
Helen

Hi Helen, just noticed your post. Have not checked out Michael's death cert., as yet. Keep getting distracted by other distant family members. Hopefully once I find his DC, I should get his parents details and be able to link up with other families.

Good luck

Hi Marion & Welcome to TalkingScot. :D
As this topic was last discussed in 2007 & Anne last posted in 2009 it might be an idea to PM her re your possible connection.
You have obviously researched this Branch very closely-is there any help we can offer.
Have a look around the site & its links to familarise yourself with us.
I too have ancestors coming from Donegal around the same time but not alas Kelly but Kerrs/Carr.
