Hi all
Great deal of grovelling being done here.
I have at last found uncle Jimmy age 20 on the acotland 1901census living with his married sister and her family. He is down as an Iron Dresser, so definitely hadn't enlisted.
So now I have to wait for the 1911 census or updated death entries.
Thanks all for your help, will still keep trawling the medal cards.
