Hello all
My Uncle John Forrester Miller born 1897, was injured in WW! and sent back to UK to hospital where he died around 1927. My question is were there specific hospitals for the wounded from the war, and if so where would I go searching. I dont have any other information on John.

There were indeed specific hospitals, due to the numbers of casualties, which would otherwise have totally overwhelmed the then hospital system.Margaret wrote:Hello all

Where next? Good question.......
Have a search of The National Archives site.
It also looks like this site could help http://www.redcross.org.uk/standard.asp?id=39700
That's over and above what his service record at Kew could show.
