Hi again,
I wonder if anyone can tell me if there is any records of men who enlisted or were conscripted into WW1. As you know from this post i was very fortunate in finding the whereabouts of my three gt uncles who sadly were all killed in France.
My grandfather was their half brother and was Thomas Beveridge born in Glasgow 1884. He may have also used their name of McPhee. He was 16 in 1901 - my last sighting of him until he married my grandmother in 1921.
While looking for info on the brothers McPhee i also tried to find any details of Thomas having took part in WW1 but nothing on index cards except the bare minimum. It would be a Scottish regiment and probably the army as they were all soldiers. He would have been 30 at the beginning of the war. I am trying to find out what he was doing from 1901 - 1921. I know it's a long shot but i can't imagine he would have got away with not being involved in some way.
Thanks for reading.
