Congratulations Talking Scot

I have just noticed that the 80,000th article has been posted to this site.

Well done to the administrators and moderators. This is one of the best sites I have ever joined.

Cheers,

Hi Carolyn

I was just about to post the same message. SNAP :!:

Thank you for your kind comments about the site. You realise of course, that you have played a part in that already by helping others find their long- losts.
A night on TS is more fun than a night down at the pub by my reckoning. (howls of protest expected for that comment  )

Hi again,
Family history has taken over my life....luckily I have a wonderful boss who puts up with my obsession!!!

I have not found all my rellies yet but I am trying darn hard and if while I am doing mine, I can surely make time to give others help.

When you hit brick walls though, a drink is not a bad idea. [5 cups]

Cheers,

Carolyn

It may not an either/or choice of the pub or TS.

There are a growing number of boozers have free Wi-Fi, so you can have your pint and chat on TS, no bother, just remember to take your laptop.

I'd like to be apathetic but I really can't be bothered.

Looking for blacksheep & not finding any with
Groats & Stevensons in Orkney, Hood's in Dundee/Angus, Mclaren's in Clackmannan and Jolly's in Kincardineshire. There may be more!

Hi Jack

That may apply in cosmopolitan Edinburgh but you wouldn't take your lap-top into MY local boozers.
Free Wi-Fi connection :?: My lot would charge you by the minute :!:

I don't often post (and haven't for ages!), but I always check in every day to see what's going on. My rellies are mostly south of the border, so I use another forum for those, but you lot have been extremely helpful in the past with my Scottish lot. Thank you and keep up the good work.

It's obvious there are no gamblers on the forum.

Neither am I, but I think I was the only one who noticed when the numbers hit 77777.
