My father, Harry Rogers Dowson, married Isabelle Crombie in Coldingham Berwickshire in 1954. They had two daughters , Brenda Margaret and Dianne Barbara.
They lived in Eyemouth. My father was in the Teritorials until 1967 and also worked on Whaling ships as a merchant seaman. I have his Seamans ID card but all information on the ships he served on etc did not survive.
I would very much like to find any information that fills in gaps in this part of my fathers life and perhaps to even make contact with my half sisters. Both my parents are deceased and I have lived in Australia for the last 47 years

If you go to the ScotlandsPeople website, there is information about one of your step-sisters. Not good news, I am afraid.

I see no sign of anything on ScotlandsPeople regarding your other step-sister.

As this involves relatively recently deceased, and potentially living people, I will send you a PM (private message on this forum) with the details that I found.
