Maggie, the nearest burial ground to Perth Street Anderston in Glasgow is no longer there
There was a church and cemetery under what is now the Northern approach to the Kingston bridge.
I'm racking my brains to remember it's name... I think it was Anderston U.P. church.
But although that may have been the nearest to where he died, where he was buried could depend on many things: where his other relations [ wife or children parents] were buried, where he grew up, what church he may have attended etc.
Others will be able to give advice on how to try to find out where he 'ended up'.
