Hi
Can anyone clarify this point. I have a relative who died in Lanarkshire but I am unable to find out if they have
been buried or cremated. I have the date of death, where they lived and where they died. I am hitting a brick
wall. Guidance in obtaining the information would be appreciated. They died in 1979.

I assume from your other post you didn't find anything in the newspapers.jjlmary312 wrote:Hi

Since you have exact details have you tried contacting the council?

Also, have you checked the Catholic records on ScotlandsPeople? I have found surprises in my own research that speaks to a lot of back-and-forth when it comes to religion. It may be worth a try.
