getting bmd certificates

Kirsty, if you are in Scotland you might be able to go get it yourself from the offices and I think it might be a little cheaper? Someone else may correct that, but I am almost sure it is.

thats it ordered!
up to 20 days to deliver where is it coming from the other side of the world.

oh well i'll have to be patient

i would try and get it myself but i've got 2 young kids and it wouldn't be that easy to just drop everything to get certificate plus my partner would think i was crazy he's not really into researching his family...yet!

If their BMD was registered locally ie in your home town you could toddle along to the Local Registrary Office & ask for an extract.
I can't remember the price but it's cheaper & quicker(for those living locally) than the GROS method.
Sometimes if you are very lucky they will let you take a peek at the entry!! I am just not saying where or when!

unfortunatly i'm in dumfries and they where registered in glasgow.
