From 1860 to 1935, Fetteresso Parish (RD No.258) was split into two registration districts: 258/1 Fetteresso and 258/2 Cookney.

Thanks again to both of you!

You will both get a chuckle out of this: Last year, early on in my searching, I found the Boston Passenger Ship list for John Taylor arriving in Oct. of 1913. When I made a note of his next of kin I wrote down William Taylor, Paisley.

Small problem, that was the address of the person on the line above.

If I had written down Portlethan, I would probably have had a shot add finding John's family sooner even though I didn't know his parents names. This is also why I started out looking at the Paisley Taylors yesterday!

All's well though! Now I have to go to ancestry, print out some things and call my sister! :o

Carol
Looking for: Clerihew, Longmuir/Longmore, Chalmers, Milne, Barclay in Newhills,
Munro, Cadenhead, Raitt, Ririe/Reary

I certainly don't blame you for that conclusion, Carol! It took me quite a bit of cross-eyed staring before I realized that each person's address went from the end of one square to the beginning of the next  How to confuse future generations :!:
