Hi Alisa

Just a thought but is the signature clearly shown as A. <name edited, may be living person> - it's not impossible that Purcell could look like <edited> depending on the handwriting of the signature.

Susan.

Annette
You are quite right, I'm really not on the ball tonight at all...
found his death cert in 1945 in Cathcart Glasgow and the informant on it was his sister A. Purcell.
I was distracted by the date above, which is within TS guidelines, but of course the d.o.b of Annie, along with several of her siblings,
makes her outwith our TS guidelines.
Can only suggest a trip to NRH or Park Circus, Ailsa.

I've edited your post to protect the privacy of any possible living persons.
See Essential Reading for guidelines on cut-off dates etc.:

Hi Annie,

Thank you very much for the offer to have a look for me when you go to NRH. However some one has already offered and she has all the info to hand.
Again many thanks,

Ailsa

Hi mariabirrell
And welcome to Talking Scot. :D

I've edited your post to remove details such as the date of death after 1957 and the names of several persons possibly still living inline with our TS guidelines. (In Essential Reading, see "Talking Scot & mentioning living or recent persons"
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=6601 )

If you wish to share details of recently deceased or possibly still living people, you can use the Private Message (PM) facilty here on Talking Scot to contact other members to give full details which are not viewable by the other members and the public.

Best wishes
Lesley
