As you have Patrick's second marriage certficate, you will find his parents named there. They are confirmed on his first marriage certificate. To find that one, you need to look up PATRICK MCMACHION, and there is only one spelled that way on ScotlandsPeople.

Patrick very brave man took on Marys, children she had them to a Thomas Kilmurray whom she never married . on this marriage it does have his parents because he married 1881 i thought i would be able to find out about his parents .

As always with research, you need to be sure that you are working from a solid base before moving backwards (to avoid getting lost/researching the wrong family/waisting lots of time and/or money!) - we have several mentions of Patrick junior to work with now.

The two steps to perhaps finding out more about Patrick's parents would be to search for his birth, (using the 1881 census data and the info on his marriages) and also to follow him backwards in the census years hoping to find him with his parents. e.g. the 1851 census would be a good one to try as he should be around 4-6 years of age. If fuund, the parents ages and places of birth should be given.

Hi i found Patrick under McMachion as you suggested he was 22 when he married1871 this is his first marriage and on here his parents are spelt the same way as his and her name as Catherine Haggens no wonder i never find anything its okay for people who are very good at this sort of thing unless they jump out and bite me i wouldn,t know
