Oooooooooooh! You're good, Annette!

Just got the marriage cert. for Jane Cameron. She married William Connon, engineer on a steam vessel, in 1877. William's parents were William Connon and Agnes Smith. Jane's parents were Duncan Cameron and Jane Cameron, maiden name Christie.

But I have to tell you, all these Jeans and Janes are driving me crazy especially since most of their births and marriages aren't registered! Also, there are at least three Duncan Camerons that I've found and as many John's all in this one family! I was just sorting Camerons when your post came up. Haven't looked at the childrens birth records yet.

I think I'll switch over to the Connons just for a break!

Back again!

No luck with witnesses on the children's bc's. John, who started all this, was born in Foveran which is where Isabella's family originated and the record is just a ledger registering the date and parents and child's name. Alexander was born in St. Nicholas and his witnesses are probably just friends--don't recognize the names. Christina's birth doesn't show up at all.

Back to the trenches...
