Hi, I am a new user to this website. I have just seen your postings going back to 2012 re George Howie son of Robert Howie and Janet McNair. My gt grandfather was George's brother. He was Thomas Howie born in 1884 in Blantyre . He was a steel dresser and married my gt grandmother, Mabel Hawkins in Hamilton in 1909. Their first born was Lydia Howie in 1910 who was my father's mother. My father remembers him well as he died when my father was 18, If you like I can ask him if he remembers George Howie. Maybe you have already found out the information you need as it is two years since you posted anything. Kind regards. Sandra

Thank you for your posting. I would be very grateful if your father could give me any information about George Howie and the family generally. Could you
please tell me who Lydia Howie married and also what is your fathers name?

Thanks Sarah. I have done this as I didn't really want all and sundry knowing all this information.

I thought you might prefer it! We all have to grasp at whatever bits of privacy we can still get in this internet age
