I have not discounted any of these so i think maybe a trip to Edinburgh may be in order.
It just seemed as though they had disappeared off the face of the earth.

I don't know where you are Allan but I'm fairly sure there will be at least one poorhouse application from the family. They are held at The Mitchell Library in Glasgow.

I live in Glasgow and i already have a copy of my g grandparents application for poor relief so its something i can look for and see if there is any more info.
