Best wishes

I've only ever come across this situation once, where the registration of a marirage by Sheriff's Warrant was allowed to be made despite the fact that the couple weren't present, - can't for the moment recall what excuse they had, but it was obviously accepted by the registrar.

David aka Montrose Budie (the only way sometimes that I can check on posts since last visit........... plus it allows me to look at the site without Admin Group priviledges  )

A subltety here. When they visited the registrar's office they were already married, and had been since the day when they went through the Marriage by Declaration. The procedure with the Sheriff Court and the visit to the registrar was the only way to get an entry in the statutory marriage register.
