I reckon the last column, the registrar, is Alex Adam

Best wishes

WOW!

You guys ROCK!

Thanks so much for all of this! I can't believe the amount of information on this post from one marriage certificate! It is awesome!

I did wonder whether the family was English, only because of the name Seth, which I was only half-sure it said. I thought it could also look like Jack. And that occupation of Best Boy...or whatever it might be, is a puzzler!

But again thank you all for your contributions!

Adding that I think the address is Leith Fort, because if you look at the way the registrar wrote the letter F on the witness's name Frank Blogg, they are identical. I will have a lot of fun researching this later today!

Now I am off to go sing in the church choir this morning! Winter is approaching here is Australia and it was still dark when I got up!

All the best,

Nina

Thanks again to all who replied to this thread. I am fortunate to have had so much help in so short a time.

I think the occupation for Seth might indeed be "Post Boy" as somebody very kindly sent me Seth on the 1871 census for Alford, Lincolnshire, where his occupation was listed as a "Hotel Post Boy".

Thanks again,

Nina
