Lister seemed right to me as well, and like Jean, I didn't think it right, when I saw Leith.

In the larger section of the document it seemed like Suter, and have gone back for another look at the full document.

Mr. Archer is not very consistent in his formation of his uppercase 'S'.

17 Arthur Street is a well-formed S, as is South Poorhouse.

The S on Sixth (x2) is almost printed.

The S on second and single is a humpy loop (technical term :lol: )

The S on Son [reported by Charles E. Harper] is another formation altogether.

The surname S of Suter is similar to the S used in 5 Coburg St. (x2) in the Marshall record.

So, I'm reading it as Suter.

Maggie, I'm seeing Suter as well, but have you tried to find Thomas and Mary Ann's marriage using wildcards with her name?
