Hi
I'm getting a larger copy sent by SP, they are ever so good, and I will let you all know the outcome.
Thanks for the tip David, I usually search that way but there are lots & lots of Mitchell's, however I do have Catherine now.
Cheers

Death Cert.
Hi Caraid,
I had a quick look at this when I was in NRH on Friday in the hope that it might be clearer on their system. Unfortunatley it wasn't any easier to read. Hopefully the version they send you will be a bit more legible.

If there are interpretation problems it's also permissible to ask to see the original register (under the supervision of the search room supervisor).

Death Cert.
Hi David,
It was just on the screen. I took a few queries from the list along with me just in case I ran out of things of my own to do (as if!!) Just did a few quick lookups in the last ten minutes or so - no time to check out fiche etc.

Apart from anything else I wanted to make folk aware of the various options open at New Register House; and Park Circus etc. for the fiches at least, - do Park Circus hold copies of the original Glasgow registers as well?

Hi Folks
Got the Cert through, a BIG copy. It was Elizabeth aged 50, Catherine 48, Jane 43, Jessie died at 12 W (weeks), Agnes (no age), Thomas (no age), Isabella 29, Sarah 25, Besides three others who died in infancy.
The informant was also interesting John B Nolli. Elizabeth married John Nolli 1822 in Edinburgh, he must have died and she went on to marry Louis Butti. Lots of children to follow up. What with her sister marrying a Lazzaroni, I'll have to brush up on my Italian
Thanks again
