Hi David,
I'm adding onto an awfully long list, but just in case you'd still like more test material

:
Death
Finlay McLean, age 50
15 October 1868 Loch Torridon
District of Shieldaig, County of Ross
son of Roderick and Ann McLean (both deceased)
Thanks!

Hi David
I've got a birth - Walter Boden, born 1 March 1864 at 42 Oswald Street, Glasgow - can't find my notes but I think that's Bridgeton. The RCE is a finding of paternity.

Searching Ross - Lochwinnoch & Eaglesham, Renfrewshire; Glasgow; Glover - Paisley; Macadam - Glasgow.

Don't seem to have a single marriage RCE

Must be more rare. Would that be for bigamy or some such?
I'm sure there are some bigamy ones that have been discussed on the forum... Where are you, people? This is your chance!
Regards,
Sarah

That's not an RCE reference !!
The scribble on the LH margin is a reference to a clerical error in Column 2, such an alteration being allowable if it was done before the registrar signed the entry.
