Hi Joyce

I'm so happy for you that you have now obtained the correct marriage cert. from England!!!!

I've been trying to think of a simple way to help you organize your findings and am not sure if you are able to download and print forms from the internet with your computer setup. One site that has free forms available in PDF formats is located here:

http://www.familytreemagazine.com/forms/download.html

Two basic forms that can be a big help are the Five Generation Ancestor Chart and the Family Group Sheet. You can click on the form to view them on your computer screen or you can click on the PDF button to print them off.

A Family Group Sheet organizes one immediate family.....Parents and their children and names of the parents parents. The Ancestor Chart allows you to see the "Father & Mother" of each generation in your direct line. It won't allow you to list siblings....only the direct lineage. If you can go back more than 5 generations you can start a new chart for each couple listed in the last column.

I often use these old standby hand written forms to collect data and then when I have time I sit and enter the information into a genealogy software program that organizes things even nicer!

Let us know how you make out.....

Best wishes
Jean

There are two extracted OPRs for:

1. JAMES MORGAN - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Marriage: 01 AUG 1790 Clackmannan, Clackmannan, Scotland

to Katherine Morray

and the same couple

2. JAMES MORGAN OR MORRISON - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Marriage: 01 AUG 1790 Alloa, Clackmannan, Scotland

to Katherine Murray

And (but I don't want to jump the gun here) the birth of a James Morrison to George and Elizabeth Cowan
Searching for Keogh, Kelly, Fitzgerald, Riddell, Stewart, Wilson, McQuilkin, Lynch, Boyle, Cairney, Ross, King, McIlravey, McCurdy, Drennan and Woods (to name but a few).

Also looking for any information on Rathlin Island, County Antrim, Ireland.
