I didn't look at the image, just assumed that the chances that this wasn't the right couple were minimalalysone wrote:Hi Andrew,

It's the same couple who had son David 07Feb1885, in Dennistoun, place and date of marriage shown as 01Aug1882.
One of the occasional bad links between the index and the image, - see advice above. The linked page shows records #369 and #370 in the Register Book of Marriages whereas what's required here is #374!

What should I do next?
Hi Andrew & David,
I sent the contact form to SP. I was wondering if the misplaced link means I will never be able to retrieve the right certificate? How long will it take for them to correct the misdirect, in your experience? Thanks, alysone

Hello,
I`m very interested in this topic. I`ve now traced the Crookston line back to 1616, and the McCrindle line back to about 1670: these relate to the William Crookston (railway company treasurer), and his spouse Jessie McCrindle. I`m keen to develop the amount of information available about William (my GGF). Does anyone know where he is burried? I suspect it is Glasgow, but that doesn`t narrow it down very much! I`m happy to share any info that I have.

Hello Watershedman
I am sure any input you have will be welcomed by those in this thread, although there may be one or two who are no longer part of the fourm.

Hello Stewie,
Many thanks for picking up on this so quickly. I'll post the simple lineage that I have for both lines (McCrindle and Crookston) later today. If anyone would like more info from these, they can ask. I'm concious that I may be covering ground that others have already travelled!
Cheers
