Hi Dennis,
What i was trying to say is that i couldn't see another Charles & Helen CARR / KERR in Lanarkshire 1861. If there was, then that might mean 2 couples with the same names.
If there was another couple i'd have expected them maybe to have children listed in the IGI, and possibly still be in the area.
As you know there is only on child mentioned for a couple with these names - Patrick in 1861. But i suppose there's always the possibility there was another another Charles Carr / Kerr & Helen Fisher who were childless and had moved outwith Lanarkshire before 1861. I have my doubts though.

Hi Dennis,
I'd a look at the OPR film, but no mention of a marriage on 2 Nov 1852 Coatbridge, but maybe the year was meant to say 1853 on Patrick's 1861 BC?

OPR 652 Vol 3 p 255 (Old Monkland)
Marriages - 23 OCT 1853
CARR - Charles CARR labourer, and Helen FISHER both at Coatbridge in this Parish.
--
The date would most likely be the banns - there were a few others on the same day, and the previous date was exactly 1 wk before (16th), next was 1 wk later (30th), and so forth. All these dates were Sundays.
