No, but I always thought it was! When my daughter was born, I wanted to give her granny's middle name but I told my Dad that i didn't really like the name Jeanette. He replied that her name was not Jeanette, just Jane. So that's my daughter's middle name. Of course I can't see her actual birth registration yet but there is a registration for a Jane Cotterhill Easton born 1919, which must certainly be her, due to her middle name (after her own mother's maiden name Cotterill).

I had a good laugh about the Jeanette name, similar thing on my mum's side, cousins were given Jean, and so was my sister. But grannies name wasn't Jean (Jeannie/Jeanette) her name was Jane as well.

Flora mother was marion scott (stewart) and John scott as per her death certificate which I got now.
