I have now uploaded Jane Law/Gilmours death certificate,can anyone help with the cause of death and her mothers maiden name.her son James Lindsay registered the death and im positive underneath his name it has (illegit).Am i correct,that will solve a big problem in my search.

I would agree that it does say Illegit below his name.

Maiden name of mother looks like Allan.

Cause of death: Severe burn of shoulder. Exhaustion from ? suppuration. Senile Debility.

Definitely Illegt under his name

Thanks for that so i have got the right parents and date of birth for Jean Law/Gilmour.I an still searching for her illegitemate son James Lindsay's death certificate as it may tell me who his real father was.Thanks for all the help.
