If you sift through all the Ayrshire Quintins,
you can probably narrow them down there being only 4 people.
Below are their approx birth years.

Thanks Jack, I've found some census info for now - that'll do. Going to concentrate on my Dickson line this afternoon. Have a good sleep.
Looking for Dickson, Reid, McGill lines in Scotland. Ord and Potter lines in England.

Hi Donna,
Thomas McGILL's address on his 1870 MC to Jane SCOBIE is probably Uddingston.
(compare the "U" starting United Presbyterian)
And a wee bit about Jane's parents - not sure if you have this by now.
