Death - Register of Corrected Entries.....

On the scotlandspeople website I have been looking at a death record which has a margin entry saying:-

" See register of corrected entries Vol 1 Pg 42 July 17 1869 ".

How do I get access to that ? is it necessary to view the actual correction in the register in Edinburgh or can it be done more easily for someone who is living in the south. My suspicions are that this young lady died in childbirth but I need to see the correction to confirm/deny that suspicion.

The death entry itself is for
1 1869 CRUICKSHANK ISABELLA F 17 OLD DEER ABERDEEN 228/00 0039
single, age 17, father Andrew Cruickshank, mother Eliza Cruickshank, on 29th June 1869, 2hr 45m. Backhill of Kinmundy, Old Deer,
Internal Haemorrage, 16 hrs. as cert by George Fraser, witness Andrew Cruickshank, brother and inmate.

If anyone has any suggestions that would be most helpful.

You should be able to ask for a copy to be sent to you. I don't know what the fee is. A phone call to GROS at New Register House could probably sort that out, and I presume that they could take payment by card over the phone.

The information that you have below, plus the certificate number (presumably 115, 116 or 117 as you have quoted page 39) should be enough information for them to find your RCE.
