Shaw/Dennistoun

Hi all

I'm back again! I'm still trying to find information on my William Shaw <1839> he was born in kirkpatrick Fleming Dumfries. He married Mary Irving in 1856. On his marriage cert he adds his parents as William Shaw (gardener) and Margaret Dennistoun but i'm struggling to find anything on them. I can't find a birth cert for William or a marriage cert for William and Margaret. Any pointers?

Have you looked at the William Dennistoun born in Kircubright in 1839?

Thanks for the response. I've searched Ancestry, Scotlandspeople and IGI but none return a William Dennistoun 1839. Am i missing something

Hello Karen,

I'm really sorry for getting your hopes up but on checking again he was born in Lanarkshire.

I found him in 1841 and he's not your William.
