Hi Isabel and Welcome....

There are no wrong forums to post in around here :D
I just have a few questions to help clarify your info. Did Henry Rossini and Jeanie Watson ever marry? Is Watson her maiden name? Was Jeanie married to William Lyon or was he her baby's father? Do you know when Jeanie died? Do you know where she was born? ...sorry...it's way past my bedtime..... :?

Best wishes
Jean

Hallo Jean thankyou for replying
Henry obtained a divorce from sarah in 1940 and he and jeanie were to
get married 2 wks before xmas but he died dec 2nd they had 3 children
together Henry,william,Isabella.
Jeanie had a son David McGuire he was born about 1914-15 she did nt
marry the father but on my mums marriage lines it says Henry and Jeanies names as parents then says Jeanie watson formaly married to
William Lyons merchant navy seaman.Jeanie died living in Glasgow 1957
but all the searches Ive done the results are never her and Iwas looking
for her father who Iwas told was Donald but his name was JAMES and
his wife was Marion so I wasted all my time and cash looking for someone
who didnt exist.I have found quite a lot of Rossinis in AUS but not my mums half sister or her other sisters children thanks again Jean

Jeanies marriage cert to William Lyons should name both of her parents and would be more reliable than the death cert.

It should then be possible to track her down in the 1891 and 1901 censuses.

The Rossinis should be fairly easy to track UNTIL you get back to Italy.
Searching for Keogh, Kelly, Fitzgerald, Riddell, Stewart, Wilson, McQuilkin, Lynch, Boyle, Cairney, Ross, King, McIlravey, McCurdy, Drennan and Woods (to name but a few).

Also looking for any information on Rathlin Island, County Antrim, Ireland.

Hi again,

Did you try William L?ons and spouse Watson (without a first name)

Jeanie could have been Jane, Jean, Jeanie, Jeannie etc. So leaving out the first name may give you a better chance.

What a coincidence, two sailors wives being unfaithful to their husbands on the same day.

And I thought all the nice girls love a sailor!

Look at the thread called "I also have a disppearing Mitchell".

Arthur Jarvis was also a sailor during WW1 who came back to find his wife with a baby that couldn't have been his.

If Jeanie Watson was married in 1908 but had a baby called David McGuire abt 1814 - 1815, so during the War, she too was unfaithful.
