Not sure is you are looking to research forwards or backwards, but if you are looking for living persons, I'm afraid we cannot help you here on TS - we have some links though in the TS Library section which may be of help: http://talkingscot.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5576

If you are looking to research backwards, the first step might be a visit to NRH to check all the John Woods born/married about the right time.

Hi Larabl
As the current marriages on Scotlands People only go up to 1932, the only place you will be abel to search for marriages after that date are New Register House (NRH) in Edinburgh or Park Circus in Glasgow.
