My take:

Arthur Corlett
House Proprietor
Married to Mary Helen
1st Matilda Robertson
2nd Mary Russell
4th Helen Hay
5 Margaret Campbell

What did he do with them all? a 19th Cent. Bluebeard

I agree with Wilma's take on the wives, apart from the first one.

Mary Acton ? Weton? Beton?

However, I would suggest that you complete a contact form on the SP website, telling them that parts of the certificate are difficult to read. Hopefully they will send you a fresh scan of that page by e-mail. That should give you the fine lkines that have been lost in this scan.

All the best,

AndrewP

I only know this because I've helped in previous posts - Matilda's surname was Waterston who died in 1871.

Wife number 5 was living with the family as housekeeper in 1881.

What happened to number 3?

To add to Andrew's suggestion:

Mary Keton? Heton?
