Hi Folks,
I have uploaded (i hope) a birth cert of Dougald McFarlane 1815 - sadly it doesn't say if it's a church register or not. I am finding it hard to read what the last few words say. Any help appreciated.

Hi WilmaM,
That's what i thought it said! not sure about the ult though - wonder if they were punished!
I wonder if they married at all or if young Dougal had any siblings. This is my first mention of him on paper i have been trying for a few weeks to find him - i think the spelling of Dougald had thrown me off the scent i had him as Dugald.

Hi Ailsa
Ult usually refers to the month, not the year, but I see your thinking on that one, as the month is already mentioned.
Currently to see the Kirk Session records at NAS you would need to go there. They are digisitised and on the PCs at NAS in Edinburgh, with plans for them to be more widely available on the internet eventually, for a pay as you go fee.
Best wishes
Lesley

Hi All,
Just thought i would give you an update to Dougald McFarlane.
I reckon he did leave her high and dry as i can find no marriage records for him and Elisabeth Garvie.
I did find in the IGI, children of Elisabeth Garvie and James Cree or Crie from 1805 to 1809 Ann, Jean and David all of Dunning Perth.
Maybe her husband died and she hooked up with Dougald in 1815 and had young Dougald.
Just thought i would let you know.
Thanks for the help,
Ailsa
