http://talkingscot.com/gallery/displayi ... ?pos=-1758
I need a good pair of eyes to help me decipher what Elizabeth's mothers maiden name, the sir name of her first husband and the first name of her second husband oh, and the name of the road please !.

Many thanks

Hi Tracey
What I'm seeing so far is:

Mothers maiden name: McIlvanney/McIlvannay?

Surname of first husband: _ush
..thought it might be Bush, but the "B" underneath seems more elaborate.

First name of second husband: James

Address: Williams Lane?, Port Glasgow

Best wishes
Lesley

My take [without reading Lesley's first]:

Elizabeth Seawright
Widow of
1 Lewis Bush coal miner
2 James Seawright R___

April 17th 1920
3 Williams Lane Port Glasgow

Lewis Casey Farmer
Martha McIl__y [McIlveany?]
both deceased

Robert Seawright Son registered it.

I would question either the 1st husband's or father's Christian name - Lewis isn't that common a name, and perhaps the son got muddled?

Is this her 2nd marriage?
ELIZABETH CASEY
Spouse: JAMES SERIGHT
Marriage: 12 JAN 1874 Port Glasgow, Renfrew, Scotland
Extracted marriage record

Thank you Lesley and Wilma

Wilma it is quite possible that this is her second marriage and i will keep it on file.
I am trying to spend most of today sorting out ( making sence of more like) my "unknown possible maybe's" file and this cert is part of that and rather than keep the images on file clogging up the pc i stupidly decided to copy the information to word and delete the files. This idea is rapidly becoming a thing of the past !
