Hello.
I think that someone mentioned before that IGI only spits out female children of a marriage. I'm thinking that's what happened here in the 1755 marriage of Alexander Langlands and Katharine Cuthbert in Forfar, Angus; where the 1st born is listed as Martha and her twin sister Katharine in 1765.

I have found that a couple of the IGI parish indexes for East Lothian OPRs has "female only" names. Parish of Tranent was the first one where I encountered this problem - and I had put in a number of family names (such as Fowler, Liddel, Turnbull) No problem with the marriages.
