Well - having failed to find the death record of my g-g-grandmother Mary Connelly with any sensible age on it, I tried a wider search - her daughter in law reported the death and may simply have been bad at arithmetic, because a whole 11 years or so has been taken off her age! I'll quickly add that all the census records (presumably reported by Mary herself) were very consistent so that this was a bit of a shock.
She died in 1879, and her age is reported as 56 not 67 or so... but it's certainly her, so I'm pleased to have found her.
But, there are some bits that it's hard to read - it's not a good record for reading. Is the ability to post scans back up now?
