looking for sarah
Hi,I've been trying to track down a rellie called Sarah Adams Watson born in Alloa 1876 to George and Wilhelmina Watson,I've got her on the 1891 census aged 14 but she's not on the 1901 census so I assume she has left home or married. Is it possible to trace her marriage even if I dont know who she married,I know this sounds nuts but hey thats me ](./images/smilies/brick-wall.gif)

Hi Gordyw,
I've had a good bit of luck tracing marriages through death certificates. Did you try looking for a death for her?
Regards,
Anne H

Hi Gordy
You can look on SP using only the wife's maiden name and if she was kind enough to use her middle name that would reduce the number of hits. Watson is such a common name. You would have to make it a broad search though as she could have been in service anywhere in the country (as I have found to my cost looking for some of mine)

Re: looking for sarah
1901 shows a Sarah born 1877 Alloa, living at Alloa married to Robert Ford.
You could try putting those details + Sarah's maiden name in to the search boxes at SP. Sorry don't have any credits at the moment or I'd search myself.
Regards,
Annette

Re: looking for sarah
Putting Sarah Watson & Robert Ford in to SP marriages gives 1 hit in Alloa in 1897.
Could be worth a look if that's the right Sarah that Annette has found.
