The Death of Henry Gemmell 1966
I am trying to find out any info on the death of Henry Gemmell in 1966 at Glasgow...He was married to Ada Wellings..the father of Henry was John Gemmell a tailor and his mother was Mary Coghill.....can anyone help me please as Henry was my grandfathers brother. (I have the marriage cert of Henry and Ada if this helps)

Hi Raymond,
As this is a modern (less than 50 years ago) death, you will need to go to the ScotlandsPeople Centre (Edinburgh) or Park Circus (Glasgow) if you want to see the death certificate. If you want to see a funeral notice in a newspaper, you would probably need to go to the Mitchell Library (Glasgow) and see the archive newspapers of that era - probably the Glasgow Herald.
