Need help to read name

Post by littaol » Sat Mar 06, 2010 3:10 pm

Hi

I am not able to see what the maiden name for Christina Taylor is: http://www.loslekt.com/misc/clip.jpg

First I thought it was Cochran , but now I think it maybe starts with a 'b' :?:

Thanks in advance!

Hi Litta,

I would go for Cochran or Cochrane.

All the best,

Hi Litta,

I agree with Andrew. I'm sure it is Cochran or Cochrane as well.

Just a suggestion for future reference; It is often more helpful to upload the whole page, rather than a cropped section, especially if the writing or image quality is really poor. We often use other instances of the registrars version of the same or similar letters to identify it.

Hi Litta,

Just to let you know that Christian and Christina is just like Janet and Jane when it comes to the IGI. You have to try both names when searching.

Here is the marriage which doesn't show up if you search for Christina.

ANDREW TAYLOR

Marriages:
Spouse: CHRISTIAN COCHRANE

25 MAR 1822 Saint Cuthberts, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland
